Retail-ready honey that showcases the purity of
New Zealand’s natural environment.

Black beech ‘honeydew’ honey – dark amber in colour, rich in flavour and health-boosting properties – is the hero of our range.

The Amber+Black honey range
Pure honey from sustainable apiaries in the foothills of New Zealand’s Southern Alps.

  • Black Beech Honeydew

Sourced from black beech forests in New Zealand’s South Island, this honeydew honey is the hero of our honey range. Its unique natural provenance gives this rare amber honey a distinct flavour and an impressive nutritional profile. Rich in prebiotics, minerals and antibacterial properties, research shows that honeydew honey has one of the highest levels of antioxidants of all New Zealand honeys.

Flavour: Less-sweet than floral honeys, with deep malty, caramel and woody notes.

Serve with strong cheeses or cured meats. Drizzle over yoghurt or stir into warm drinks.

  • Creamed Multifloral Bouquet

A light, luxurious honey produced from a diet of wildflowers and native plants including clover, honeydew, mānuka, kānuka, flax and kowhai. The result is a sublime blend of floral flavours that is then blended or ‘creamed’ to create a smooth, silky spreadable honey.

    Flavour: full, floral and sweet.

Excellent spread on toast or scones, spooned over pancakes or served with apple slices.

  • Creamed Clover

The purple clover that grows along the foothills of New Zealand’s South Island provides our bees with a plentiful source of wild nectar, while alpine rivers provide a clean water source. These hives yield a pale, delicate clover honey that is then blended or ‘creamed’ to produce
    a smooth, velvety everyday honey.

Flavour: Mild, sweet and buttery with floral notes.

Excellent spread on toast or scones, spooned over yoghurt or paired with a mild cheese.

  • Wild Mānuka MGO 260+

An MGO rating of 260+ indicates lower levels of the natural antibacterial compound methylglyoxal. It’s an ideal entry-level mānuka for those looking to explore one of the world’s most nutritionally potent and delicious natural products. Enjoy daily to maintain wellness and support gut health and immunity.

Flavour: Complex and herbaceous, but more accessible than our higher mānuka grades.

Best enjoyed on toast or yoghurt, or in teas and nutritious smoothies.

  • Wild Mānuka MGO 830+

A rich, caramelly honey with potent antibacterial properties thanks to an MGO rating of 830+. This is a good choice for those seeking the anti-inflammatory benefits of a stronger mānuka product. Enjoy as a delicious natural supplement to support wellness, immune function and gut health.

Flavour: Rich and complex with a caramel-like finish.

Best enjoyed straight from the spoon or stirred into warm water.

  • Wild Mānuka MGO 1200+

The powerhouse of our mānuka range, with exceptionally high levels of the natural antibacterial compound methylglyoxal (MGO). Very few mānukas achieve this potency, making this honey rare and ultra-premium. Use for targeted antibacterial properties to support oral health, gut microbiome and everyday wellbeing.

    Flavour: Intense, complex and herbaceous.

Best enjoyed as a natural medicine, eaten straight off the spoon or stirred into warm water.

The Meaning of the MGO Rating

An MGO rating (such as MGO 260+, MGO 830+ or MGO 1200+) measures the exact concentration of methylglyoxal in milligrams per kilogram

What’s the Number?

The higher the MGO number, the more concentrated, antibacterial, and powerful the honey is.

How It Forms:

It develops naturally in the hive as bees convert a plant compound (DHA) found in Mānuka flower nectar into MGO.

Benefits of MGO:

May help support immune function, may promote wound healing, and may have antioxidant benefits.
